The goal of the Program is to help keep your teen safe. The Program empowers students to spot and respond to bullying, cyberbullying, the four types of abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, neglect), relationship abuse, digital abuse, and other digital dangers. Most importantly, it teaches that adults are responsible for their safety but their are things they can do to help adults keep them safe. This year we are excited to announce a new endeavor at GHS! Senior Sendoff is a two-hour celebration for the graduating class of 2024 that will take place on May 18 from 2:30-4:30 pm here at GHS. In addition, several four-year Missouri colleges and universities offer their own scholarship for A+ qualified students. Last year our A+ graduates could earn as much as $10,000 towards their college tuition and general fees.

Glendale makes the A+ program fun by providing promotional activities and events each school year. Each year we have around 50% of graduates qualify for the A+ program. For more information about the Glendale A+ Program, students can check out their A+ CANVAS course which lists A+ Program Resources, visit the A+ website or follow us on Twitter @glendaleAplus.

We also recommend you contact the teacher with questions, concerns, or you feel an error has been made.

For clarification, the report used to determine who receives these calls runs at 4:30 a.m.
the day you receive the call. It is possible teachers update grades during the course of the
day. Again, please check eSchool on a regular basis and direct questions to the teacher(s).

    (Updated 03/06/24) Missouri Student Survey
Every even year since 2000, the Missouri Student Survey (also known as the Safe and Drug-Free Schools survey) has been administered at Springfield Public Schools. This survey is a valuable tool to learn more about students’ tobacco, drug, and alcohol use as well as bullying, mental health, and other information. The results are important to our district as we plan prevention activities and can provide information necessary for local grant applications. The students take the survey on-line and their responses are completely anonymous, voluntary, and confidential. To protect the confidentiality of those participating, data are aggregated and only reported publicly at the county level however, districts will be able to obtain their own data down to the building level.

This year, we will give the Missouri survey during English classes on March 19-20. Please see the attached parent information and opt-out form. Opt-out forms are due back to the counseling office on or before March 18. Opt-out forms were provided through a Canvas message to parents and students or can be picked up in the counseling office.

(Updated 03/05/24) Explore Enrollment- Summer School is Now Open
      Attention Students and Parents,

Explore (summer School) registration is open! Explore booklets will be given out Wednesday, you can also go to https://fueledbylaunch.com/summer/ to see information on semester-dates, classes being offered, and how to enroll.

Please remember that students will be registering for their 'rising' grade for the summer - that means the grade they will be attending this fall. I would also recommend enrolling sooner than later in order to secure a online spot :)

See me or your specific counselor for questions you may have.

(Updated 03/05/24) Senior Sendoff (Formerly Project Graduation)
This year we are excited to announce a new endeavor at GHS! Senior Sendoff is a two-hour celebration for the graduating class of 2024 that will take place on May 18 from 2:30-4:30 pm here at GHS. After much deliberation by the district, it was determined that it was time to form a new tradition, and this will take the place of Project Graduation. During this two-hour celebration Seniors can expect the opportunity to play games, take pictures, win prizes, eat food, and maybe...just maybe there might be a dunk tank involved. Most importantly, this event will provide a final chance for our seniors to say goodbye to each other and GHS. Help us create a lasting memory for them by getting involved by volunteering to help at the event, by making a financial contribution, or by purchasing an item from our Amazon Wish List!

If you have made a financial contribution or Amazon purchase, THANK YOU! If you have made an Amazon purchase and the item was sent to your house, please drop it off in the GHS office attn: Erin Scheibe. If you are going to make an Amazon Wishlist purchase, please send it to "Erin Scheibe's Gift Registry Address". It will go to the school and that is where all items should go. THANK YOU!

If you previously opted out of receiving text messages and would now like to receive them, text START SPSR12 to 23177 and also to 53291.  The 53291 opts you in for general messages and the 23177 for emergency messages.

(Updated 10/23/23) Food Deliveries Are Not Allowed By Restaurants or Delivery Companies
Students will no longer be able to order food to be delivered to Glendale High School during the school day, beginning Thursday 10/26/23.  Having food delivered by vendors and delivery drivers creates an unsafe situation at school. To ensure the safety of our students and staff we will no longer accept deliveries by restaurants or delivery companies.  Food that is delivered to school will be sent away with the delivery person.  The school will not be responsible for the food orders.  All students have been notified that food deliveries will not be accepted.

(Updated 12/11/23) Capital Campaign and Thank You to Our Donors- From PTSA
      Greetings, Glendale families,

Glendale PTSA raises money to meet the needs of our teachers, staff and students that are not met through the regular school budget.  Please see the letter below to donate.

      A+ Program Updates
The A+ Program provides scholarship funds for eligible graduates to attend most Missouri community colleges and technical schools.

If you have any questions please contact Jenny Cofield, Glendale A+ Program Coordinator.
