I want to thank each and every one of you for sharing your student with us this year, and for allowing us to have a chance to impact their life in a positive way. 1. Please start planning for our commencement exercise:
- Thursday, May 12th, 2022
- 9:00 pm
- JQH Arena on the campus of Missouri State University
2. Start planning to make sure you have:
- Cap & Gown
- Proper dress for the ceremony
3. There are no restrictions on attendees this year.
4. Please plan to arrive at Hammons Student Center no later than 8:00 PM. After being searched, graduates will be directed to the area assigned for the lineup.
- You WILL NOT be allowed to leave this area.
5. This is a formal event, please dress accordingly.
6. Parents/guests should arrive no earlier than 8:15 pm. Let your family members know that ALL BAGS will be searched.
7. DO NOT wear your cap and gown into Hammons Student Center, carry them. No hangers PLEASE!
8. DO NOT bring any items into graduation, you will be searched and all items will be confiscated. This includes, but is not limited to: wallets, purses, and cell phones.
9. Project Graduation:
- Cost: $5 Financial Office TBA
- When: May 12th, 11:00PM - 4:00AM - Students should arrive at GHS no later than 10:30, gather in the main gym, buses load at 10:40. Under no circumstances will students be allowed to use their own transportation. All students MUST ride the bus from GHS. Load at 3:20 AM, leave at 3:40 AM to return to GHS.
- Where: Chesterfield Family Center
10. Tassels: start on the right, flip to the left.
11. Caps: NO designs on caps. Any altered/embellished caps will be confiscated.

Each graduation ceremony will be recorded and a DVD of the ceremony may be purchased for $30.00, information concerning the DVD will be available at JQH Arena on Commencement night. Springfield Public Schools has contracted professional photography services for the ceremony through Lifetouch. After the ceremony, proofs of your graduate will be mailed to your home as well as available online for you to view and order. Candid photos of the ceremony, speakers, and any group photos will be available as well. Due to security concerns, please know that no other photographers, videographers, or observers will be allowed on the auditorium floor.

Date: 5/12/22
Time: 11:00 PM-4:00 AM
Location of Project Graduation: Chesterfield Family Center
Tickets: The cost is $5. Tickets will be purchased in the financial office starting 5/2/22 and will go through the seniors' last day in the building, which is 5/11/22. If a student needs financial assistance with purchasing a ticket, please visit the main office.
Transportation: In order to attend Project Graduation you MUST ride the bus from Glendale to Chesterfield Family Center, and back. No exceptions.
Events: Hypnotist, DJ, Casino Games, Swimming, Basketball, Movies, Photo Booth, Karaoke, Climbing Wall, Washers, and Corn Hole.
Prizes: Gift cards to Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, Andy’s Lululemon, Best Buy, Target, AND MORE! Also Bluetooth Speakers, AirPods, TVs, Laptops, Yetis, Google Mini’s, AND MORE!
Food: Our gracious donors have donated plenty of food and drinks for you to enjoy at Project Graduation.
Travel Process:
1. Students must show up at Glendale around 10:20 pm and meet in the main gym. Bring your swimsuit and towel.
2. Students should park in the south parking lot and the southwest parking lot.
3. We will load the buses at around 10:30 pm. Before every student gets on the bus, their bags will be searched.
**There will not be much room for storage at Chesterfield, so leave big bags in your car.
4. We will leave Glendale around 10:45 pm.
**If you do not ride the bus from Glendale you cannot attend Project Graduation.
5. We will arrive at Chesterfield at around 11:00 pm and start the celebration.
6. We will load the buses from Chesterfield Family Center around 3:20 am, and will leave Chesterfield around 3:40 am.
7. We should return to Glendale around 4:00am.

(Updated 5/11/22) How to View Second-Semester Grades in Home Access Center (HAC)
- Log into HAC
- Select the Classes tab
- Ensure 4 is entered in the View Classwork for Report Card Run field
- Click Full View on the upper-right-hand side
- Scroll down to any course
- You should now see a button at the bottom-left of the course that says Show All Averages
- Click the button that says Show All Averages
- A pop-up box will appear (be sure to turn the pop-up blocker off)
- The FSEM number is what the current semester grade is for the student
(Updated 5/11/22) C.A.R.E. Mobile Immunization Consent for 2022/2023 Seniors
Attention current juniors!! All incoming seniors must receive one dose of the Meningococcal vaccine after their 16th birthday to start school in the fall. Please bring documentation of your vaccine to the nurse to ensure a smooth start to 2022-2023. The Cox C.A.R.E Mobile staff will be at Glendale on May 20th to host a free vaccine clinic for students who need Missouri-required and CDC-recommended vaccinations. This clinic will not include the COVID-19 vaccine or booster. Please complete both sides of this parent permission form and return it to the school nurse by May 18th. See the school nurses for questions.
(Updated 5/11/22) Missouri Student Survey
As in every even year since 2000, the Missouri Student Survey (also known as the Safe and Drug-Free Schools survey) will be administered during the 2021-2022 school year. This survey is a valuable tool to learn more about students’ tobacco, drug, and alcohol use as well as bullying, mental health, and other information. The results are important to our district as we plan prevention activities and can provide information necessary for local grant applications. The students take the survey online and their responses are completely anonymous, voluntary, and confidential. If you do not want your child to take this survey, you must fill in THIS FORM and submit it to Dr. Lisa Anderson at landerson320@spsmail.org.

ENROLLING STUDENTS NOW! Glendale High School has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks to provide one-on-one mentoring with local professionals to support your student's future planning. As the guardian, you will complete the brief online application: Enrollment Link to get the process started. Your student and the mentor will meet twice a month at school during FlexTime. We are looking for students who are regularly at school, facing adversity in some way, and are a sophomore-junior currently. Capital Campaign is Glendale's MAIN fundraiser and ALL the money we raise goes directly to our teachers and students. Teachers may make requests for books, supplies, or anything else they need in the classroom and PTSA (with your generosity) can grant these requests. Also, Captial Campaign money is used to show our appreciation to our teachers and staff by providing Teacher Appreciation Lunches and other gifts throughout the school year. Wednesday Is Late Start
Glendale High School teachers participate in professional learning weekly, on Wednesday mornings. Students may still arrive at the normal times, but their school day does not start until 8:00 AM on Wednesdays (7:30 AM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). On Wednesday morning, we provide supervision for students, 9th grade will report to the small gym, 10th grade will report to the auditorium, and 11th grade to the big gym.

Student charges for repairs and replacements start back today. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Sierra Blain via Slack or email at sdblain@spsmail.org.
Repairs and replacements will only be charged if they are submitted today [9/20] or after today. If a device was submitted for repair before today and is not yet fixed, the student will not be charged when the repair is done.
The charges are:
Case Replacement: $10 free/reduced lunch and full pay lunch
Charger replacement: $10 free/reduced lunch and $25 full pay lunch
Device repair: $10 free/reduced lunch and $25 full pay lunch
Device Replacement: $25 free/reduced and $50 full pay lunch
A+ Program Updates
The A+ Program provides scholarship funds for eligible graduates to attend most Missouri community colleges and technical schools. In addition, several four-year Missouri colleges and universities offer their own scholarship for A+ qualified students. Last year our A+ graduates could earn as much as $10,000 towards their college tuition and general fees.
Glendale makes the A+ program fun by providing promotional activities and events each school year. Each year we have around 50% of graduates qualify for the A+ program. After-School Tutoring is available daily from 3:00-4:00 PM.

The Branch
Students needing free food, hygiene and/or clothing supplies… GHS is proud to have The Branch Hygiene, Clothing, and Food Outreach Program inventory available to our students at no cost! Please see Mr. Faucher or Mrs. Patton for any needs.
Please check your student's grades for seated courses in eSchool. We will continue to post student grades in eSchool. It is vital that students start strong. Please check your student's grades online, and communicate with your student's teachers. Our goal is that all students are academically successful, please encourage your student to submit all assignments.
If your student is taking a LAUNCH course or is fully virtual, their grades will be kept updated in Canvas.
eSchool is where you see your students' grades (completed assignments) and Canvas is where you see what they are doing, and what they will be doing (current and future assignments and learning).
Grades & D/F Phone Calls
Grades in eSchool are the official grades for seated students. GHS will continue sending phone messages to the homes of students who have a D or F in any of their classes. If you haven't started checking eSchool grades please do so. If you receive the phone call please check eSchool to see what class(es) your student has the D/F. We also recommend you contact the teacher with questions, concerns, or you feel an error has been made.
